Otis scans 30,000 eBay listings to find you 5 extraordinary vintage pieces under €100. This week: YSL silk, early Versace, and a Dutch military trench.

Welcome to eBay Alert, a weekly column that proves exceptional vintage doesn't require exceptional wealth. Every Friday, Otis — our AI vintage authenticator — scans thousands of eBay listings across our nine cities and surfaces the most remarkable pieces available for under €100 (including shipping).
This Week's Finds
1. 1970s Yves Saint Laurent Silk Blouse — €89
From: Paris seller, ships EU-wide
A cream silk blouse with the signature YSL Rive Gauche label, circa 1976–78. Mother-of-pearl buttons, French cuffs, and that unmistakable YSL drape that makes everything look intentional. Minor wear at the collar — adds character, not concern. The Rive Gauche line was Saint Laurent's democratization of luxury, and pieces from this era have doubled in value over the past five years. At €89, this is priced for wearing, not collecting — which is exactly how Saint Laurent intended it.
2. 1980s Gianni Versace Printed Shirt — €95
From: Milan seller, ships worldwide
Before the Medusa became a logo, Versace was a printmaker. This cotton-poplin shirt from 1984 features a hand-drawn baroque swirl in cobalt, gold, and black — classic early Versace before the brand went maximalist. Size IT 50 (fits L/XL). Two small repairs under the arm, professionally done. A piece of fashion history you can actually wear.
3. 1960s Dutch Military Trench — €45
From: Amsterdam seller, local pickup or EU shipping
The Dutch answer to the Burberry trench: a 1964 Koninklijke Landmacht officer's coat in olive-drab cotton gabardine. Fully lined, epaulettes intact, brass buttons stamped with the Dutch lion. These coats were made by De Waal in Leiden to specifications that make modern reproductions look flimsy. The cotton has softened to a near-suede hand feel. One small mend near the pocket — barely visible. At this price, it's the best value trench coat on eBay right now.
4. 1990s Issey Miyake Pleats Please Trousers — €78
From: Tokyo seller, ships worldwide
The garment that changed how we think about permanent pleating. These charcoal trousers from Miyake's iconic Pleats Please line (launched 1993) are machine-washable, wrinkle-proof, and somehow both architectural and effortless. Size JP 3 (fits EU 38–40). The polyester is not the polyester you're thinking of — Miyake's proprietary heat-treatment process creates a fabric that moves like silk and packs like a dream.
5. 1940s French Linen Tablecloth (2.4m) — €62
From: Brussels seller, EU shipping
Not clothing, but too beautiful to ignore. Hand-embroidered monogram "ML" in pale blue on heavyweight Normandy linen. The kind of textile that generations of French families passed down. Edges are hand-hemmed, and the linen has achieved that impossible softness that only comes from 80 years of washing and pressing. Use it as a tablecloth, a bedspread, or — if you're ambitious — a summer dress pattern waiting to happen.
